Material Overview

Boron Nitride is a cutting-edge synthetic ceramic material that is available in both solid and powder form. Boron nitride is a genuinely exceptional material due to its unique features, which range from high heat capacity and excellent thermal conductivity to easy machinability, lubricity, low dielectric constant, and enhanced dielectric strength.

Because it has a microstructure similar to graphite, boron nitride is often referred to as "white graphite" in its solid form. Unlike graphite, however, boron nitride is an excellent electrical insulator with a greater oxidation temperature. It has great thermal conductivity, is resistant to thermal shock, and can be machined to near tolerances in virtually any shape. It is ready for use after machining and does not require any additional heat treating or firing processes.
