Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) is the most adaptable technical ceramic material in terms of mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties. It is a high-performance technical ceramic that is exceptionally strong and resistant to thermal shock and impact. It outperforms most metals at high temperatures and has an excellent mix of creep and oxidation resistance. Furthermore, due to its low thermal conductivity and great wear resistance, it is an outstanding material capable of withstanding the harshest circumstances in the most demanding industrial applications. When high-temperature and high-load capabilities are required, Silicon Nitride is a suitable alternative.
Wintrustek produces Silicon Nitride ceramics using three sintering methods:
Gas Pressure Sintering
Hot Pressing (HP) Sintering
Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) Sintering
